Available to students entering high school and the eighth grade the camp is sponsored by ExxonMobil and features a weeklong residential experience with a challenging STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) curriculum led by college professors. Participants experimented with hands-on STEM projects such as building miniature wind turbines or of household items, and enhanced their communication skills by learning how to simplify complicated STEM ideas via graphic drawings and an end-of-camp oral presentation.

The camp also offered an on-campus experience as the six-day, five-night program included lodging at Rice, meals, entertainment and a field trip.
