According to reports from PCT 4, on February 16, 2019, deputies with Constable Mark Herman's Office responded to the 16800 block of Kitzman Road, at Dyess Park in reference to a disturbance.

Upon deputies arriving, the complainant, a 59-year-old woman advised she was assaulted by a softball coach who then fled the scene prior to Constables arriving.

The complainant reported that during a baseball game, she used her cellphone to record a male in the bleachers who was using foul language and gestures. The coach then attempted to stop her from recording, struck her with an open hand, pushed her onto the ground and continued to assault her until a witness intervened.

Constable Deputies through their investigation were able to identify the suspect as a softball coach named James Schmidt. The suspect James Schmidt was filed on for class A assault and at the time of this release had not been arrested.

"James Schmidt is currently wanted by law enforcement for class A Assault. His bond is set at $100.00 out of County Court 14. If you have any information regarding his whereabouts, you are urged to contact our dispatch at 281-376-3472."-Constable Mark Herman
