Meet Salyards Middle School eighth-grade student Macee Richardson in this "Student of the Week" profile.

13-year-old Richardson earned the lead role in Salyards' UIL One-Act Play (Antigone), while she's also received awards academically in Texas history, science, math and intermediate theater.
Favorite class: "I love all of my classes but if I had to pick a favorite, it would be U.S. history. I am always reading about events in history, such as World War I, World War II and anything else history related."
Favorite things to do after class: "Participating in theater, reading and watching Netflix."
Favorite song: Can't Help Falling In Love by Elvis Presley
Favorite website: "The Home Access Center (HAC) because I am always checking my grades."
Favorite TV show: "Supernatural. I love this show because the plot changes all the time."
Favorite movie: "Schindler's List because I love the way World War II was portrayed. I even cried during the movie."
Ambition: "I would like to go to Texas A&M University and then to Yale Law School. I would like to be a criminal defense lawyer because I enjoy helping people. Saving people will be my passion."
What topics/things are you passionate about?: "School and academics, theater and studying."
What inspires you?: "My mom inspires me to be better and helps me get through things in life."
What three things can't you live without?: "My dog, family and school (friends and learning)."
What are you most looking forward to this semester?: "I am looking forward to being the lead actress in our UIL One-Act Play and hope to earn best actress. I am also looking forward to learning as much as I possibly can in all of my classes."
