In preparation for the Labor Day weekend, Harris County PCT 4 Constable Mark Herman's Office announces an Impaired Driver / Anti-Crime Task Force Initiative. The initiative will address the public safety concern of Driving While Intoxicated and other related crimes. While many are celebrating the long weekend, activities such as consuming alcohol and other substances are often involved. Constable Deputies will be out in full force to locate and arrest motorists who have made the choice to get behind the wheel while intoxicated or under any illegal substance. Additionally, a segment of the initiative will target criminals who choose to victimize citizens. Please follow these simple safety tips:• Designate a sober driver if you have consumed alcohol.• Call a cab or uber for transportaion needs.• Protect others by taking their keys if they attempt to drive after consuming alcohol.• Be responsible - make safe decisions"If you choose to drink and drive, you choose to go to jail," said Constable Mark Herman!
