Deputies with Constable Ted Heap's Office have arrested a serial burglary suspect who was found with a large stash of stolen electronics in his home.
According to reports from PCT 5, Elijah Thompson, 21, was arrested in the 10000 block of Burnside on Tuesday, September 10, after Precinct 5 investigators identified him as the suspect in multiple burglaries in the Spring Branch area of Northwest Houston. When deputies executed his arrest warrant, they found more than a dozen electronic devices in his room, many of which appear to be stolen.
"This suspect has been stealing people's valuables in these neighborhoods for months, even breaking into the same home on two different occasions," said Constable Ted Heap. "Our investigator worked hard to track him down and our deputies did a great job arresting him so that he can be held responsible for his crimes."
Thompson, who was already out on bond on a felony burglary charge, was arrested without incident. Deputies also found a large amount of drugs and two illegal weapons in his possession.
Thompson is now facing four additional burglary charges for crimes committed over the last 12 months, and investigators believe he may be connected to multiple other burglaries in the area.
